F,E,B,S-colloquium

The topic of our colloquium last Tuesday, March 20, 2007, was about Fashion, Entertainment and Business.

The colloquium was quite entertaining maybe because of the first speakers who were Pong and Say, 4th year masscom students, they delivered their speech informally. Their speeches were sensible enough and they kept on making funny things. They were entertaining because their topic was quite interesting. Say even gave us some tips on what to wear during summer because summer is near.

The second speaker was Tim of 2nd year masscom. He talked about his experience as an entertainer. Tim was a performer. He played guitars in their band. He even played a guitar during the colloquium.

The next speakers were the 2 businessmen. I forgot their names. During their time, it was serious and a bit formal because their topic was all about business.

The last speaker was Mam Roxy, PE teacher in AUF. Her speech was all about sports and exercise. She also mentioned about her experiences as a volleyball player. She even talked about the exercises that were best for reducing weight. Everybody in the class participated well because of that exercise because almost everyone wanted to reduce
weight, specially me..

Medical Technology-Colloquium

I’ve learned so much from the guest speaker we had, who was a medical technologist. I didn’t expect to enjoy her speech because all I know was that, her topic which was about medicines was boring. During that time, I’ve learned some terminologies that I didn’t understand before but unfortunately, I forget them. I find the speaker well-prepared and she knew what she was telling us. She even has her PowerPoint presentation.

I’ve learned that it’s difficult to be a medical technologist because you are exposed with so many diseases in the hospital. It was not easy to find out a person’s illness. The class enjoyed the whole speech of the speaker because everyone can relate to the topic because its topic is more of health conditions and we are all concern about our health.

I could see that the speaker was nervous because maybe it was her first time to be a guest speaker. Though she was nervous, she delivered her talk properly and informatively. My classmates were able to participate well.

P,E,L-colloquium

The first colloquium was about education, literature and philosophy. I enjoyed the colloquium because I was laughing all the time because of my seatmate, GEAN NAZER “pogi” MENDOZA. Gean kept on making fun of things.

The first speaker was Sir Jay. I find Sir Jay an intelligent teacher because he was able to answer the questions of my classmates. He talked about philosophy. I find his speech quite boring maybe because of the topic but it was informative.

The second speaker was Mrs. Luna who was a former teacher in AUF and a mother of our classmate, Mae Luna. Her topic was all about education. Education was a very important matter in this world. It’s difficult to survive if you’re not being educated by any credible person in this earth. Education started at home.

The last topic was all about literature which I find it boring too though I love reading poems.

It’s really hard to be a speaker because it’s not easy to get the attention of the audiences specially students. Students tend to get bored easily. I suggest that if you will be a guest speaker someday, you should prepare for an attention-getter and speak lively,

CYNTHIA

She’s the mother of the five children. A mother that keeps on trying to give everything that she could, just to give her children the best in life. A lady who seems to be the fountain of joy and the architecture of happiness in our family. A woman who serves and loves her husband with all her life. A woman who has the power to make me cry, laugh, sad and be inspired. She has the power to make me feel secure and protected from any harm in this world. Most of all, the woman who keeps on loving me unconditionally and gives me strength to keep on moving through the journey of my life. She’s non other than, Cynthia Pangan, the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen from inside and out.

p,m,b-colloquium

Politics is not an easy thing. Politics is one of the crucial professions for me because it’s not easy to handle a country and the people. Politicians have the chance to die early. There is a big responsibility if people are into politics. Sometimes, I’m wondering why people kept on committing their selves in politics. I don’t think that all politicians have a good intention in serving the Filipinos. At present, only few people are willing to serve our country with all their heart. Corruption is in, and I guess, that’s the big problem with some of our politicians. Their main concern is for their own good and not for the people.
I’m so proud of Hon. Jay Sangil, Councilor in Angeles City, because his main concern is the welfare of the Kapampangan. One of my classmates asked that why he is running for councilor again. He answered that he is just a simple person. His main concern is to serve the people in Angeles City, which I think is true. If he really wants to serve the people, positions are not that important.

I believe that our country is still resourceful because many foreigners are here investing and having their business. Despite of the problems of our country, foreigners still choose to have their business here because people are accommodating and our country is rich in agricultural resources.

I’m so proud of the policemen and women because despite of the danger they could face, they’re still there hanging on. They could die anytime and anywhere. Sometimes do not see their worth. What other people see is the negative things about them. Being a police is never an easy thing and having a profession as such simple means, bravery.

I’ve learned that it’s really hard to invite guest speakers.

this is my opinion
It's not easy to publish an article that is against the administration.
Most of the time, Campus Journalism in our shool deprives the writers to express themselves freely because they are under the administration of our school.
I think that's unfair. Not because we are under the administration, we cannot write what's happening in our school, the real situation in our school.
My ideas about campus journalism are the writers of the school, issues in the campus, happenings inside the school and the articles or papers being published.
Administration should let the writers or the students say what's on their mind in order for us to have a clean and good environment and for us to have a good relationship. The writers should write in a manner of respect and with responsibility.
I believe that campus journalism exists in our school. If there is no campus journalism, what do you call those college and university papers that were being published?
